We have a PC that gives this message on just about anything you try to run. I can get the calculator and a game or two to work, but anything more than that gives this error. I've tried Safe Mode with the same results. I can't get into Manage because the MMC plug-in won't load. I can't run anti-virus because of the same error.

Help! Anyone seen this before? What's my next step? Blowing away the PC isn't an option.

Have you tried to restore with last know good config?

Have you switched out the RAM in it. It is a blind shot but it could be causing errors. And check the CPU temp if possible.

It looks like you might have to reinstall windows.
