Win2K and users help!!!

I really need help.

In win2K, I installed EZCD as the administrator. However, when I try to start the program when loggen in as a different user, I get a "Access Denied" error. I gave the user full control to the Adaptec folder. But I still get that message.

What should I do? Is there an option to tell win2k which user could use what programs?

Which version of W2K are you using? Was it a clean installation of the OS, or was it an upgrade installation? Has SP1 been applied? What version of Easy CD Creator are you using? What version, if any, of DirectCD are you using? Is there any other CD recording software installed on the system?

Regards,
Jim

Don't know specifically about EZCD, but some programs (Ulead Photoimpact, for example) won't run, or won't run properly, unless you've logged on as a member of the Administrator group. I vaguely recall forum posts complaining about some burning programs being similar offenders. If you use the workaround Run As (Adminstrator user) to open the program, sometimes it will work and sometimes not (again, Photoimpact won't).

I tried the "run as a different user" and it works, however, I want different users to be able to run the program without knowing my administrative password.

I'm using win2k full install, EZCD 4.03, no direct CD.

Is there a .dll file that the users needs to access that it can't?

Thanks
Sabka
