Win2k and SBLive! Value = Blue Screen at Startup?

Hi there...

I have been living with this for a while, but I wanted to see if there is a fix... with Windows 2000 and SoundBlaster Live! Value, when the computer boots and the low-res screen showing the Windows starting with the little blue bar at the bottom of the screen, about 1/4 of the time I will get a bluescreen with the file emu10k1 or something like that, related to the soundcard. I have tried updating the driver and that did not fix it either. Is there a fix to this?

Thanks!

My comp crashes with a SB Live! II value in Windows XP (similar to what happens to you). It's very weird because I was using it before in XP and 2000 no problems, now all of a sudden in XP it doesn't work. Oh well looks like I'm going to have to get another Live! 5.1 .

Yeah, I had issues with SB Live! being in a certain PCI slot on my Abit KT7a-RAID board. Basically it shared an IRQ with the AGP video card...I always just switch the card around and it seems to work. good luck
