Win2k and multi processor setting for some programs

As you know, if you have 2 or more processors in win2k you can specify for SOME programs the "Affinity" of the processes. If the program is written good you shouldn't bother with the manual setting, but some programs are not aware about this "feature", so you need to do it manual.

Just an example: the well known NERO burning software, by default is not using the second processor, so in task manager do a right click on the process called "NERO.EXE"and set the affinity to both processors🙂

does this work for ALL ?? applications ??
or just ones who CAN use it but AREN'T by default ??

& if so, where can I find a list of ones that can ??

😀 thanks, good info

Unfortunately I cannot answer for sure at your question: some application allows you to set up the affinity and some don't, and some by default are using all the processors in the system.
I don't think you'll find a list with such a software🙁

Just try all the apps u are using and see maybe you are lucky🙂
