Win2K and DX5?

Sorry if this question has been answered but my computer just went haywire last week.

It was a dual boot 98/2K system. When I reinstalled the operating systems Win2K is listed as using DX5. I try to install DX7a and 7 but it says this version of Windows cannot support DX7.

Any ideas?
