One time I used DiskKeeper on Win2k and it trashed my hard disk - when I rebooted all the files were gone. I have no idea what happened, but after that experience, I will never again use their products :)

I have used Raxco PerfectDisk and Norton Speedisk on Win2k. Both seemed to work well. I don't know which was better.

One thing you do want is a boot-time defragger, to defrag things like the PageFile and MFT. Raxco claims to have really good MFT defragmenting support I think, but I don't know how much it is true. I do know their product works, however.

the disk utility in win2k is diskkeeper, a light version of it but it is .. ya it's not all that, but it is what i use .. i think germany has completely banned DiskKeeper or something, and the german version of win2k, doesnt have it included, something about the CEO or someone being scientologist heh .. well there are better programs out there, a lot of people like Norton Speeddisk, or whatever its called .. good luck ..
