win2k and aspi32?? burner always get buffer underrun

I have this problem with win2k

it said buffer underrun when I try to burn cd -> cd, it doesn't have this problem before when using win98.

any solution for this?

Buffer underrun makes me think you have something in the background. Have you checked that? How much memory does your rig have?

Check your ASPI layer with this tool aspiChk and then repair it with this tool forceAspi If its your ASPI layer this will fix you up, also, I would get buffer underuns if I had EZCD Creator in the tray, and trying to burn with Nero. Make sure all your CD burning Proggies are off except the one your using, Direct CD, EZCD creator, etc. Good luck!

Something else to consider is that CD->CD-R across the IDE bus is notoriously unreliable. I have SCSI and I still dump to the HD and burn from there. I have NEVER burned a coaster doing it this way and, even though CD->CD-R might work, I'd rather stick with the sure thing. My two cents. ;)
