I searched this and I couldn't find anything. If it is a repost please let me know. But I am consistently running at a 100 percent CPU load on my Webserver running Win2K running IIS 5. If I restart the computer then it'll run fine for a few days and then it will go run at 100% CPU load again.

I talked to a few other people who are having the same problem so I know this isn't an isolated incident. Anyone know how this is fixed or any ideas?

The only times I've ever had 100% utilization on my PII 350 were:

a)last night pushing 20GB's of data from my workstation onto the server
b)remoting to it via VNC
c)Nimda

I'd like to suggest Nimda as the culprit. That sucker bogged down all my cpu cycles, clogged my pipe to the net and liked to drop tftp files all over the place. What a pain.

Have you virus scanned lately? Installed all patches, hotfixes, etc???

Doh!

Did you find out which process is hogging up the cpu? Check the taskmanager. I don't know your hardware spec. but there were a few motherboards that (IWill is one of them) that showed 100% cpu usage & required a bios upgrade to solve the problem.
