win2k advanced server

whats the best way to learn to configure win2k advanced server?
i just wanna use it as a web server.
book? free online course? any recommended website or forum?

get the 120 evaluation so you can set it up on a test server and get used to using/configuring/securing it:

Once you get used to using it on the test server and you feel you are proficient than move to a production level server. On suggestion though, if you just want to use it as a web server than you should really focus on Windows 2000 Server (or better yet Windows 2003 Web Server) since it (they) are much less expensive and wont make a differance for what you are trying to do.

Pretty much all you need to know:

1. Use add/remove programs to install IIS
2. Windows Update to patch everything
3. Download the IIS lockdown tool from microsoft (search for iis lockdown on their site)
4. Use the helpfiles to finish setting up IIS

For web serving it's just that easy. You should be able to go from newbie to a basic admin in less than 15 minutes...IIS does have SOME advantages over apache

Also, kinda like Spy said above: 2000 server should probably do you just fine. Advanced server just adds support for clustering & more processors. If you're setting up a site that actually *needs* advanced server (or even data center server) you might consider a different platform altogether (read: linux/apache)
