win2k admin password help

i am running win2k pro
fat32

i cant log in with any users password

i look for the sam files and the only one i can find is sam with no extension..can not find sam.sav or sam.log

i delete it and still can log into the system...

when i try logging in as admin..it gives me an error...its says something to the effect of unable to log in locally...

im pretty much stuck there...anyone have any suggestions...

if u need any other info ask...also this is not my machine so i have no idea what these people have done to their rights and permissions....
