There's no useful info on Google, Google Groups, MSKB...
Server's on Win2000 SP4, has been rebooted already, and no-one can connect to it.

Someone please help!

This is a weird one, that is an executive error code (if it is trusted to be correct). Most likely a mix match of dll versions where they address space they are loading into overlap.

Anything new on that box (apps, patches, drivers?)

Nope, nothing's been changed. I'm baffled!

I've removed unused protocols from the LAN settings, run chkdsk, MemTest (just in case), rebooted the machine several times. Everything seems to be fine, but TS is broken 🙁

Any ideas on how to track down the root of the problem?

MSKB is utterly useless on this one.

Damnit, I'm 25% done formatting now! :|
That had better not be the problem. At least, I hope someone had left the date format in American and not switched it to UK.

🙁

Is the date shown as dd/mm/yyyy?
When I look at my Windows SBS Server 2003 event logs, the dates are shown as: 1/4/2006 (January 4, 2006). But maybe Windows 2000 does it differently. Having an incorrect date will certainly toss a PC off an Active Directory network.

You could have also tried reapplying SP4.

But I guess you'll definetly get it off of a format + reinstall 😀

I did actually reapply it after running sfc /scannow. No difference. Useless thing.

Still, it's running okay now, after a reformat. Took me two hours to get the damned driver for the ATI Rage 128 card, despite trying every single Rage driver from ATI's website. God their drivers suck.
