I have 2000 but not installed, is it any good for gaming? I have xp pro installed now and love it. Wich do you prefer?

if XP is working fine for you then stick with that.

both are good operating systems, but i would see no reason to switch over to 2000 if you're satisfied with XP

I tried both of them,
in my opinion windows 2000 runs a little smoother then XP.
X slowed down my computer after a couple of weeks, also I had some strange problems when I was using XP so I changed back to win 2000.

I'm going to install X again when the service pack comes out for it.

X11 has never been known for its speed :Q
Wait you ment XP... It all depends on the system. XP can often load faster than 2k, if you care about that... The only way to really tell is to stress test them yourself. You can listen for hours about how this is better, and how that is better. But it all comes down to your hardware, and what you like...

Why do you purchase a Microsoft OS and not install it? I couldnt afford to spend $200+ on a piece of software if I wasnt going to use it. Just sounds silly.
