Win200 networking problem need help fast

I just recently formatted my hard drive, and installed win2k on my computer, I was networked with a winME machine, but now I cant see it and it cant see me... what can I do? It looks like I have all the right protocols installed

Did you remember to set win2k to the same workgroup as the winME machine?

Do you have the IP addresses to be configured on teh same network i.e 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2.

yes they are set up in the same workgroup.... and im not sure what taht is about ips

well, how is your network setup? do both computers just connect to each other? Or do both computer have internet access shared between them? are you using a crossover cable, or a hub/switch/router ?

Is everything set to DHCP or do you have static IPs?

Well, I have the two computers connected through a small hub, and I would like to share the win2000 internet connect (dial up) witht he winme ( I was doing this before with win98) I dont have static IPS
