I noticed this difference between the two OSs because I run WIN10 on my desktop and WIN7 on my work laptop. Whenever the screen is locked, you could either mouse-swipe up to reveal the password box or hit any key and it also reveals the password box to type in.

On WIN7, it accepts that key you hit (as above) as the first letter of your password. On WIN10, it doesn't and it only starts accepting the password from the 2nd key after hitting any key first. Anyone know why this is? I'd rather have WIN10 behave like WIN7 in this respect. Minor annoyance since I use both consistently throughout the day so this is a hurdle.
