Win XP & Windows CE

I have a Velo 1 running Windows CE ver 1 on it, and Winxp. The problem is I can't install win ce in win xp, so I can't sync my palm to my PC. Windows FAQ claims I need to download Activesync 3.5, but that say's my Velo isn't compatable when it tries to establish a connection. Any ideas? My old HPC still works great, and I'd hate to trash it over this.
 
AFAIK, ActiveSync 3.x doesn't support WinCE 1.0 devices. I'm afraid you're out of luck unless you can find a WinCE 2.0 upgrade chip.
