I've contacted Adobe, Microsoft and Intel. None have helped resolve the issue. I'm using an 865 PERLX mobo
with 1 gig Centon 3200 RAM. I've done everything under the sun to get this
to work, that is, have SP2 installed and be able to use Photoshop. This is a newly
rebuilt machine, all new parts except the case. I've reinstalled XP and run
Pshop, but I can't remember whether or not I installed Zone Alarm first. The
front runners for issues are possible Zone Alarm and possibly some kind
of glitch on the motherboard. The only 'new' things I"ve done at this point
are update the BIOS and the chipset drivers. I'm in no mood to run t hrough another
install to find it still crashes Pshop. Has anybody heard of something odd about
this board, SP2 and Photoshop? Is it worth changing mobos to see if that's where
the problem lies? Since I just had the shop do this upgrade, I can get them to
switch mobos without charge (except different price of mobo).
Thanks
