LOL, yes they can. The 'proxy' is just your computer. Considering the hits that the site is getting for the file, I doubt they're going to be tracking down people though. See other thread on this subject for details.

The chances that they would pick you out of the 50+ ip's that went there from this site, let alone the 5000+ total, are very slim

Besides, they probably WANT this exposure. They need people to get excited about XP any way they can.
