Win XP Remote Desktop question

Does the Host computer have to have a password setup for another PC to log on to it?

I've got only one non-password protected account on my HTPC and am trying to use my laptop to connect to it. When I connect to the HTPC it asks for a password and won't let me in if I leave it blank.

Is there anyway around this? I'd prefer not to have to put a password on my HTPC since everyone in the house will use it.

yes it requires a password, and it must be win XP Pro on the host machine.

Yeah, I've got XP Pro on the host machine. I'll just have to make a very basic password I guess....

yep and of course enable remote desktop on the host machine.
