Im having problems with my fresh install of WIN XP. Whenever i open windows media player classic and watch a video file, when im finished it wont close (i click the X and it dissapears) but when i go into task manager it shows MPClassic.exe still while taking 100% cpu power. (only takes 100% after being closed) this also happens with a couple other programs, but not all (winamp, MPclassic, uTorrent, F@H) its pretty annoying having to restart my computer everytime i want to do something else (from movie to music i need to restart, from music to web surfing, i need to restart) any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you overclocking the CPU and/or the memory? If so, run Ortho to check for system stability.

It also does this when the CPU is on stock settings. Pass orthos stable for over 8hrs.

for each program? well for instance Media Player Classic is most used, and does it every time - attributes nothing is selected.
