Win xp pro won't boot

Was working on a computer,Amd 2000,1 gig mem,80 gig hd,fd and dvd burner.Deleted a printing document.Went to restart the computer and now its stops at the AMI bios system configuration screen.I don't get any beeps during boot.Had ran av yesterday ,no problems.Left computer off over night,still the same today.Any help will be greatly appreciated as I don't where to start.

You might want to try disabling your Printer port in BIOS to see if you can get into Windows and find out what's going on.

 
BIOS reset might be the quickest solution, but I'd try disabling the USB ports in BIOS first.

On the other hand, you may just want to run through your BIOS settings to make sure everything looks right.

 
Agree re the BIOS. The BIOS boots the computer, not Windows. Windows LOADS after BIOS boots the system.
 
This was the fix, unhooked all external usb cables and computer booted okay until i hooked up the printer cable then it stoped in the process replaceing printer cable. thanks everybody!
