Win XP on Monday?

I haven't been following WinXP that closely - I had thought it wasn't due out until Oct 25th, but I just saw some article saying MS moved the release to Sept 24th... Is this true? Will we actually start seeing it in stores on Monday (a la the big Win 95 release), or will it take some time for it to show up?

Also: anyone know what the going price is going to be for it?
 
Microsoft is allowing OEM system builders to sell system with XP preinstalled beginning Monday, but you won't be able to get it in the stores until 10/25.
