Win XP no internet connection after imesh uninstall

Hi all,

I hope you can help me with a recent problem. My Internet connection on Windows XP SP2 was fine until I uninstalled the latest version of IMesh. I am connected through the computer via cable modem and when I check 'Network Connection' I have the 'Local Area Connection' icon on and everything appears to be fine. It says I'm connected, it tells me at what speed, etc. But when I try to surf the web or play a game; nothing happens. It's like the connection does not exist. All the other computers I have connected to the cable modem work fine. Is there some master on/off switch that was accidentally triggered to stop all internet activity on my computer? Sorry for noob question.

Thanks all.

ps. I seem to recall this happening once before. I was long overdue for a reformat so I said screw it and that was my solution. I'd rather not do that this time.

Rebuild your TCP/IP stack. Open a command prompt window, and type:

C:\>netsh int ip reset c:\newstack.log

Thanks for the quick response. I tried doing that and still nothing. I'm sure it's something simple that I just have no clue about. Thanks again.
