I hope you guys get this....last time this deal came up OD strung out the shipping date soooo long my rebate was not good. I sent it back....I think I'll try it again.
I believe you are still going to need a legit version of Windows either, ME, 98 or 95 to do the upgrade from an illegal version.

My order was supposed to arrive by mail today. It didn't. My order status on-line says "Delivered Short Shipped" which from Googling seems to indicate they have denied the coupon and cancelled my order. If I could confirm that. I'd re-order without the coupon, it would still be a good deal.
Did anyone actually recieve their copy yet? I'll let y'all know if I ever get through or hear from their customer sevice.

A long shot, but would anyone be willing to either 1: Burn a copy of this CD for me, or 2: put an ISO image somewhere where I can download it.
Before anyone jumps, I do NOT want the Activation Key. I merely want an SP2 version of XP Home. I have a legitimate copy of XP Home upgrade, but it's an original version, so any time I need to do any maintenance (That machine is currently having some problems and I've been doing some repairs), I have to re-download & install SP2, which is just slow and painful. So, I was looking for an SP2 version to cut out some of time necessary to restore this machine.

You do a google search and follow instructions on how to prepare a slipstreamed Windows installation CD with SP2 already in it. Take a look at this how to:

Good deal. If ordering by phone, make sure the csr got your name and address right. I ordered the 100gig maxtor hard drive by phone and they screwed up my name and address. I called the rebate center and was told that the name and address in the invoice must match the name and address in the rebate form. So, I contacted Office Depot thru their website (not contacting them by phone for any reason anymore) twice already but have yet to hear from them. All I got from them so far is an auto reply stating that they have received my letter. Looks like I'm going to have to challenge to charge on my credit card. Want the hard drive but not paying $100.00 for a 100 gig h/d.
Would this Slipstream CD instructions allow for making a bootable install disk from a system that no CD was provided?
In the help box at the instruction site (thanks for the link Richardito), it said you needed your original disk.
Issue: just purchased an Acer w/ XP SP2 installed, but no disk, although there are the install files on the C: drive.

You do need an original install disk. BTW, you can also use a drive imagiung program like Norton Ghost and archive a copy of your current hard drive. With this image you can easily restore your original setup into any drive. You can also save time by archiving your setup including all of the Windows updates.

It's not letting me use the $20 off $75 coupon code. It lets me apply it, but when I go to checkout, it gives the following error:

When I had the same problem once, I called them. They told me that the coupon did not apply to tech items, therefor the applicable total was $0, even though there were items in the cart.
There is a code that worked, I used it.

Looked and tried every 20 off 75 coupon, but none worked. There are some 20 off 100 that work though that expire on 9/30. All you need is a .01 filler.
