Win XP - File Read-only Problem/Query

Holy repetition, AT! must be one of those days...ignore the following...I am clueless and too lazy to use the search feature and have a complete lack of reading comprehension of thread titles...my GF would testify to all the above and more. Thanks!

In Win XP Pro, if I select a folder and right-click, properties, and unselected Read-only and then apply to all folders and sub-folders, it doesn't work...many folders and files maintain their Read-only status.

Anyone know what the heck is going on or have experienced this before?

Thanks,
AJ

The read only bit on folders wont change, it's by design and doesnt mean the folder contents can't be changed.
