Win XP command line: how to setup a timeout in a batch file

creating a batch file in win xp to install a program then wait 5 minutes then install another. these are shortcuts to the actuall install therefore the wait until the process is over will not work.

I don't know if there's a built in function to call for wait. Here: http://malektips.com/dos0017.html someone seems to have created a method. You could probably do something like

START program1
CALL WAIT 300
START program2

there's always the ping hack:

ping -w 300000 -n 1 1.1.1.1
