Win XP: "Cannot find 'null'" error message

I keep getting this error message whenever I open the Control Panel:

Windows cannot find '(null)'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for the file, click the Start button, and then Search.

Whenever I open Control Panel or Printers and Faxes via the Start Menu, this message would pop up, followed by the Control Panel Window or the Printer window. When I close that window, the My Computer window pops up automatically, and the same error message pops up again. 😕😱

I can't find anything in the MS knowledge base. It's not a debilitating error, but it's a bit annoying... 🙁
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. 🙂
