Win ME networking.

Here's the scoop: I have a network functional with three computers, all using Win XP Pro. I am trying to add a fourth using Win ME. On a Win XP machine, I create a diskette to set up the network on another computer. I use it on the 4th machine, and after the Network wizard finishes, I can access the network fine, and share the Internet Connection sharing fine. But if once I reboot, the network doesn't work and I cannot access the internet. Something in the boot obviously is screwing things up. Any clues?

why don't you set up networking manually....

such as setting up IP address, subnet mask, gateway IP, workgroup.. on each computer manually..
if you don't have a clue on how to do this just do a search w/ your favourite search engine. or post your Q on the Networking forum

As the last post said - try a manual NW set up instead of allowing the OS to pick. First check what IP addresses are available since WinXP can pick just about any.
However WInME and Networking with other WInME users is a real dog much less with WinXP users.
I have a Win98/Win2K NW setup and one machine with Winme and the only trouble I get is with the WinMe machine.
