Win ME connect to Win NT - NetBUI did it, mods can now move thread

Sorry for posting this here, but I need a quick answer. Is there a way to connect a Win ME computer with a Win NT computer with a crossover cable? If so, do you have any hints on how to get it to work?

Edit: Ok I finally got it. Thanks. It was NetBUI that was needed - but the key is that it had to be set to default. They both had it but without it as default, it wouldn't work. Thanks. And we got it in before the Mods killed the thread too.

I plugged in the cable and ran the network wizzard on the ME machine. When clicking on My Network Places then Entire Network on the ME machine it says: unable to browse the network. What did I do wrong? I've never used ME before.

C'mon man. NetBEUI? Just quickly assign static IP addresses in TCP/IP, change workgroups, share out entire hard drive(s) and start copying. Takes 5 mintues max, including reboot time and XP shouldn't even have to reboot to do all that. Just remember to shut off sharing once you're done.
