Win ME can't restart after application installations

Hi,

I just installed win ME on my computer with a fresh install after a format of the C drive. Once installing it, I tried to update the video driver. The installation went fine, but then Win ME would not restart after installing the hardware. It just hangs, and Safe Mode is my only choice. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.

I don't know if this will help, but check your cmos settings for assigning an IRQ number to VGA. Should be enabled.
