I have 2 Pc's sharing a cable connection over a phoneline networking kit. The computer running WinMe can see the other computer on the network, but the comp running 98 cant see the Me machine. Any idea why? When the othr comp had Me it worked fine but i had to go back to 98.
Try making sure all the machines either obtain ip's from your cable modem/router or all have static ip's. They all need to be the same. If one has file and printer sharing turned on try enabling it on the other stations. Last and not least I've seen some cases where NetBeui protocol had to be installed to get all machines visible. Good Luck
