WIN 98SE: How do I turn off the clicking noise when I use my mouse?

It turned on by itself somehow via win 98 se.

Just to add.. remove the "Start Navigation" sound.

Can I add that this clicking noise is one of the most ANNOYING things ever to come out of microsoft. It completely slows down IE navigation! Totally pointless....
