Why not just use xp?

But if you are going to do 98 anyways make sure you got the SE.

98se has many fixes and makes it much more stable.

Just google your question for all the changes.

Two of the main things was they got usb's working in it and a work-around for the 512 MB ram issue.

In my opinion, Windows Millenium Edition was released to capitalize on the word Millenium, as the year 2000 was approaching. Sure, Win2k was going to be out too, but it was directed mainly at the server market, and it didn't feature the word Millenium in the product name. So, they needed a good way to make some more money in the consumer market. Windows Millenium Edition was shoved to market with enough new things to make it slightly different, mainly in that programs crashed more.
Take Win3.1 before WinME.

Even a drunken wino with all of his limbs broken in a space station with 0 gravity is more stable than Windows ME.

Paper and pencil over WinMe.

Sorry if you have to install either 98 or me, instead of xp or atleast 2k...that's tragic.

lol windows Me is so abused. I had an oem install of it once and did not really have any problems with it. Kinda made me wonder if a clean install was far superior to laying it over win98 like most people did.

that being said win 98se is pretty stable if you don't want to go to xp for whatever reason.
