win 98 task manager question- how to ID programs

This'll probably be simple for you guys. I want to know how to identify the programs that are displayed in the task manager window. Obviously some of them will be self evident. Others are listed as something like "ldbxcp", which doesn't make any sense. I always have a ton of these running in the background when nothing else is running (like right after boot). I think some of this stuff is spyware or adware, if so I want to hunt it down and kill it. Is there a utility that will show the location of the executable and registry entries for these programs? I want to know what is running on my system.
Thanks for the help y'all

What I always do to find out what some of these more cryptic file or process names relate to is take it and type into a google search. This will give me links that I can use to either tell me exactly or at least narrow it down to a certain program.

As for spy ware, go and download Ad-Aware. ( do a google for the link ) I think that latest version is something like 5.8. This utuilty will scan your system for reg keys, files, cookies and programs that are known to be spy ware. Once it finds them it gives you the option to delete them...
