Win '98 Scandisk Problem

Scandisk gives me this error after finishing checking the file allocation tables :
Scandisk was unable to finish correcting this error because the top level folder on this drive is full . Quit scandisk and delete some files from that folder .
I've checked the disk C:\ and it appears to have plenty of available space and no particularly huge files in C:\ .
Any ideas please ?

That was the most useful answers you'll get, that is, if you actually read it. The article states that if there is a filename and path exceeds 259 characters with that option enabled it will give you that error. So you can either:
1. Disable "Automatically Fix Errors"
2. Or find that file and reduce the path length

Behavior like that gets you nowhere. Don't be so quick to flame next time.

PorBleemo - no flaming - I was serious - that was a real professional answer - you misunderstood me .
