win 98 lite

I've used it. Worked great. cleaned out a lot of junk and improved performance.

Bozo 😀

98Lite is great, I highly recommend you try it. I installed it alongside standard Win98 and Win2k. I have to admit I haven't used it much lately, mostly because I haven't taken the time to install all of my apps. It is noticeably faster, though I wouldn't say it is more stable (can't work miracles, it's still the same kernel). I have installed it on a few older machines (for friends and family), that's where it really shines.

If you have an existing Win98 installation, I'd recommend installing it on another partition. That way you can boot into either one by simply modifying msdos.sys...I wrote a little batch file to swap it out quickly, along with autoexec.bat and config.sys (optional).

Best regards,
Floyd
