WIN 95 OSR

That's right. 4MB minimum, 8MB recommended by Microsoft, 16MB for passable performance, 32MB for good performance.
 
Went to fix my landlords printer the other day...he has a 386 with 8 meg of ram running Win95 (first release).
Though it is slow, it boots up pretty quickly and isnt all that slow...expcet when he tries to print and it runs out of memory 🙂
 
I did the same thing with an old 386, but put 3.1 back on for performance (if you can use 386 and performance in the same... page) I had 16 megs of ram in it. Good old times...
