Win 95 freeze frame action

Hi all!

I am working on a PC that is still running Win 95. This little turd has a lockup problem. I have used everything in my software arsenal on it to no avail. I must be missing something here.

The problem is somewhat intermitent. As long as you are doing something. e.g. - Running a program, browsing etc. everything is just fine. The lockup seems to be caused by inactivity. My desktop is still there. No error msgs. Clock just stops. The amount of time before the freeze happens is also intermitent I belive.

I shutdown the only power management resident on Win 95 I could find thinking the hard drive was going into suspend and not making it back out and still nothing. BIOS power management is disabled. No screen saver.

I get my normal desktop frozen in time. No mouse. keyboard, CNTRL-ALT-DEL nadda.

Any refresher courses welcome.
Thx Wetwire
