I updated my amd drivers and the problem seems to be solved but it's too early to tell for sure. Thanks for the help guys

I had this problem with both of my AMD APU systems and Win8. Tried several different driver builds. Sometimes it would work for a little while. I finally gave up and just tossed NVidia cards on both of them. Problem solved.

Yea there's still spots of lag but it seems to be better. Maybe time to sell the 7950 and grab a 770
