Win 7pro Dell COA re-use on home buiilt rig

I have access to some cheap Dell comps with Win 7pro COA's on them and was wondering am I going to have issues re-using the the COA in a custom build? I will possibly re-use the old hard drive as they are 500gb units but nothing else.

The hard drives have been swiped clean with dban

Yes, they are tied to the dell systems/motherboards and you are not allowed to move them

In general OEM should Not work with a different Motherboard.

That said built you new computer install Win 7 Pro and try.

It will work but will not be Active. If you try to Activate and it refuses you will have to buy a New OS.

Ok, thanks! kinda what I figured. I may give it a shot just for grins. I figure i'll buy and part them out. Core i5 2400/4gb DDR3, ect for $10 a piece I should be able to make some ebay sales.
