they could make windows 7 restart every 15 minutes, i'm still not going to windows 10.

I do find it humorous that MS is "trying" everything but the obvoious with 7: no SP2 and no OS installers past basic SP1. I think they are trying to look like they are inproving while doing as little to fix it as possible, considering its age.

I only run a couple VMs with 7 and they are ok as long as long as the updates don't get too far behind.

I am still very glad to have my main systems on 10. Windows Update is painless on those.

I have no issues with the roll-up versions of their security updates. Hasn't been a problem this month and hopefully it continues. I'll be with Win7 until 2020.

Same here. Except that I DID have problems with the October updates -- which included possibly two roll-ups and one which was well over 100 MB for the download file size.

I think I'd posted elsewhere that folks with Kaspersky KIS 2016 were experiencing the type of delays in booting that would cause you to bork an update, maybe leading to more symptoms and troubles. The solution was to uninstall then reinstall.

The new "update paradigm" now leaves me a bit apprehensive.

For me the October Update (KB3185330) seems to fail because of a dual boot, but from all i find seems to be with windows and linux, but mine is a dual boot of Win7 and Win8.1... Maybe I need to update 8.1 first. going to try that to see
