Win 7 Resolution Problems

Weird problem here. I'm triple booting (just because I haven't erased XP) with Win 7 RC, Ultimate, and XP. In RC and XP my resolution of 1920x1080 looks fine, but in the Win 7 Ultimate it's leaving about a 3/4 inch border around the desktop of unused space. I've tried reinstalling Catalyst (newest version), Powerstrip (not sure if I'm using it correctly to make new monitor drivers) and adjusting every other setting I can think of to no avail. Any ideas? I've got a Sapphire 4850 VC and an Asus VH226H 21.5 in monitor.

Sounds like windows has the monitor borders incorrect, delete the monitor from device manager and reboot, or manually select your monitor and point the the .inf file for it.

Tried both of these, and still nothing. I even did a full re-install of Win 7 and have the same problem. Other ideas?

Have you tried creating a custom resolution? and Try changing the aspect ratio because some resolutions are only available in 16:9, 16:10, etc.

I'm using an HDMI cable. I'm running the newest Catalyst drivers. I've tried the custom setup with Powerstrip, but I don't know if I'm doing it correctly.
