Why? Did you not understand? Why would I buy an OS when they cant even figure out how to allow people to make gamma changes....Everything else worked great, apart from slightly lower fps as mentioned. for you for not being able to comprehend what I was saying.

im able to change my gamma easily. you probably just had some shit driver from nvidia or simply just do not know how - and decided to blame windows 7 because you felt like going against the grain and talking up windows xp. lollies. gg.

Definitely nice for those with .edu accounts. Id buy one myself, but I found win7 to have some serious gaming flaws, so I reverted back to XP. Fail Microsoft in that respect. They lost my purchase.

I have a .edu address but am no longer a student and thus technically no longer eligible.....sigh.....ethics.

Good deal though for those who meet the criteria.

So how does this work since it's an upgrade version? Can I download it and burn it to a dvd and make it a full/bootable version to be used for a clean install?

EDIT: Apparently the upgrade version can be used as a full version...

it certainly can be used to perform a clean install. But it will NOT take the upgrade cd-key that they give you. You will have to call them up or hack the OS to get it to accept the key.

This is speaking from personal experience as I just reinstalled windows using their ISO and the cd-key last night.

You will get this error message if you try and activate it after performing a clean install: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/...04f061-activation-error-on-windows-7-upgrade/
