Win 7 in ONE partition only?

Whatever I did, Win 7 is shown on a ssd in one partition whereas it should be split (2 partitions) as normal install occurrence. Can this be corrected without uninstall/reinstall?? Thanks.

Yes, it can be corrected. You need to create a new partition on the SSD. There's software for that.

Bear in mind that partitioning a SSD is not necessary. The only advantage is organization, no performance is gained (or lost).

By "normal install", do you mean the 2nd, system partition? If so, it's probably there. It is hidden but can be seen in disk management.

Thanks, another query. Win 7 w/SP1 is installed, but my Win 7 disk does not have SP1. Now, I cannot load Win 7 without SP1 on my Crucial M500 as not acceptable, but, if I was to run Win 7 disk (without SP1) and not format, would I get back to original format of two partitions?

My W7/SSD install did the same thing. I'm kind of wondering if W7 recognized the SSD and decided the separate partition wasn't needed.

Edit: But my W7/SSD install on my HTPC did install an EFI System Partition, but it's an older SSD...?

Lets clear things up. Why do you think the way Windows 7 formatted and installed is wrong?

Are you talking about system partitions like OEM restore and the BIOS EFI, or do you want a separate C, D, Etc. drives to store data on?
