Win 7 deskop folder problem

Ok I hope I can explain this right. But when I click Start/Music (or Videos) I can see the folders on my deskop in the music folder. But if I click C:\Users\DellXps\Music(or Videos) I cant see the folders, everything is normal.

Is it something with my user account. This is a pretty fresh install of Win7 and there are not may 3rd party apps installed.
 
ok I just fixed the problem for now I think. I clicked/start then right clicked on the folders and clicked property's then clicked restore defaults.
