I have bulit the system as xp pro before and everything works fine so its not a hardware issue.

I Installed win 64bit no problems and everything is working well expect I can not install the video driver for the ATI x800 xt PE card that I have. I have downloaded the Radeon 64bit driver and it started the installation and ask do I want express or custom either are fine and I chose the compents through custom driver and software. So the screen refreshs and then just drops to the deskstop. Nothing in the event log. The read me notes claim that its supports the x800 series of cards. I had to through device manager update driver and point it to the folder c:\ati\...\..\.. and that works for windows but it does not show the ATI control pannel or tabs. When I go to run a game is fails complaining about missing dx9 stuff so its not working really at all :( Any ideas guys?

Do you have the .NET Framework installed (I'm not sure if that's bundled with XP64)?

Nope could not install the .net framework said that is was no for 64 bit and can not find 64 bit edition. Played around a bit more but and the install now works but still the same errors when trying to run games. I think that I will run a restore point before all the messing around and give it another go.
