win 64 and doom 3

Ok i am running the sig in my sig and i just bought doom 3 and i am running windows 64 , How do i egt it to install and play in wndows 64 , there is a way , i tried the removing the os check but it would play.

I have doom 3 installed when i click on teh exe the timer glass appers and then goes away. Nothing else happens a little help here PLEASE!!!
i've been google'ing all nite
