Win 2K Server Sharing & Permissions

I just set up an old computer in my house to serve as a "file server" for the other computers, so I didn't have to worry about one computer being on or off in order to access my data. I put in a second hard drive, and shared a directory on it to start. I set permissions to allow "Everyone" full access. When I go to access that same share from another computer (Win XP Home and another computer with XP Pro), it prompts me to enter a username and password. The same happens with the shared printer. I can still map that folder as a drive, but I need to enter the user and pass every time I want to access it.

So I guess I should ask my question. Why am I getting this prompt? If permissions are full, even for "ANONYMOUS LOGINS," why does it still prompt?

Any help is greatly appreciated, and will save me hours of work. Thanks a bunch. ;)

EDIT: whoops, wrong forum. Doesn't mean y'all can't reply. :p

It has to do with the whole IPC Share thingy.

The easiest way around is of course to just create a user on the server with the same username/password as the one you're logging on to your desktop with.
