Win 2k printer sharing ??

Hello,

I have Win 2k advanced server , I enable sharing for printer in it properties ... but when I try to connect to that printer from other computer , it asks for password ... but I've never entered any passwords ... what should I do ? ... and the same problem with drive sharing.

Thank you,
bye.

Make an account on the Win2k server. Change the logon to Client for Microsoft Networks on the other boxes. Logon to the other boxes with that account and password.

Go into "Users and Password" in the Control Panel... Make accouts with the same login names and passwords you use to login to Windows on your other PCs...

This should give the other PCs access to your win2k machine...

that's the problem ... I don't have "Users and Passwords" in control panel (yes, I logged in as an Admin)

No users and passwords? That's odd. Try a different way:

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management

Open up Local Users and Groups

Right click users

Click New User

Make username and pw the same as used to logon to the other boxes
