Im running a fresh install of windows 2k on one of my computers and whenever the windows 2000 screen comes up during boot the load bar goes all the way and then the system hangs for a while like its frozen before it boots into the logon screen. It happens only after i insall the video card drivers, the card is a geforce 3 ti 200 and i tried 4 different versions of drivers. When i uninstall the video card drivers the system boots up fine again. Does anyone know why the video card drivers would cause the system to hang for a while on boot.

I had this problem with service pack 2 and nvidia drivers 43.xx. When I upgraded to sp4 and the latest nvidia drivers it seemed to disappear. Don't know why.. When you say hang you mean long boot time right?

ya, the boot time is really long. After the load bar gets all the way done the bar that is always moving stops which is why it looks like its freezing. I have SP4 installed but i havent done any of the other windows updates.

what do you guys think the best drives to use would be?
