anyone know how to install the 2k boot loader onto a different partition than it installed on?
I just installed 2k pro on my d: , which is a logical partition, and it put the boot loader on my c:, my primary partition , which is 98SE. I've got a boot manager XOSL installed aswell, which I use to boot between 98se and linux, which is on another partition. if i try and boot to 98se now on c: i get the stupid win2k bootload, and if i try and boot off d:, the win2k one, i get 98se , because that drive had 98se DOS on it, so when i boot, it loads them and they detect windows on c: and load that.
Now i don't really want to have to use the 2 level booting process, so does anyone know how i can copy the boot loader to the d: ? I know i can restore the 98se boot sector easy enough, but then i can't boot into 2k :/
At the moment, ive set it up, so the 2k boot loader always goes into 2k and ive just swapped the labels around in XOSL, so they boot off each others boot sectors :/ which is a little silly really.
